The ultimate Planar 6 package. The RS (Rega Special) Edition bridges the gap between the Planar 6 and Planar 8 by adopting key engineering features from the next tier up, all while retaining the classic Rega form factor with dustcover.

Built on an ultra-lightweight Tancast 8 foam core plinth with a stunning brushed aluminium HPL skin, it provides a highly rigid, low-resonance platform. Double Brace Technology reinforces the structure exactly where it matters — between the tonearm mounting and main hub bearing.

The precision RB880 tonearm — normally found on the Planar 8 — comes factory-fitted and expertly aligned with the multi-award-winning Nd9 Reference moving magnet cartridge.

Drive performance is enhanced by a CNC twin drive pulley, dual Reference EBLT belts, and a hand-tuned 24V low-noise motor matched to the included Neo MK2 PSU for superior speed stability. A dual-layer Optiwhite float glass platter completes the package.
